In addition to commingled recyclables, resorts and food establishments produce a large volume of food scraps from preparation through the end of night events. Our expertise is in working with Facilities Managers, Executive Chefs, and Hotel Management to develop the workflow, capture, and containment of food scraps. Current metrics indicate that roughly 30% of trash weight is attributed to food scraps that could either be composted or sent to a non-commercial pig farm in the areas.

Another waste stream diversion is used soap and shampoo left behind by guests. With an alliance partner, we are able to capture and send the material to a nonprofit for sanitization processing to be sent overseas to fight diseases.
