Commercial Business - Offices/Location Sites
Commercial business produce a waste stream that consists of consumable recyclable products like plastic water bottles, aluminum cans, paper, cardboard, and glass beverage bottles. By creating a customized recycling program, trash and equipment costs can be reduced at a location. By helping you, we create Green jobs in this economy and we can have a direct impact on the environment by diverting recyclable and compostable material from the landfills.
Events that range from 40 people to 40,000+ people produce a large waste stream. ECA can conduct an on-site assessment of your needs, analyze the layout, and coordinate with caterers to determine a customized plan that best suits your needs. Everything is considered for its recyclability up to and including food scraps. Precise metrics are provided at the end of the event so you can see for yourself exactly what was captured.
In addition to commingled recyclables, resorts and food establishments produce a large volume of food scraps from preparation through the end of night events. Our expertise is in working with Facilities Managers, Executive Chefs, and Hotel Management to develop the workflow, capture, and containment of food scraps. Current metrics indicate that roughly 30% of trash weight is attributed to food scraps that could either be composted or sent to a non-commercial pig farm in the areas.
Another waste stream diversion is used soap and shampoo left behind by guests. With an alliance partner, we are able to capture and send the material to a nonprofit for sanitization processing to be sent overseas to fight diseases.
Whether you are looking for recycling avenues or diversion of material from the landfill, ECA is your Sustainability partner that focuses on building a solid business relationship. Our experience will be offer in depth analysis, gather existing metrics from the waste stream, gather business requirements, develop detailed implementation plans, and audits the results.
